Bertalina, 44, is married and has no children; her husband lives in the United States. She used to work in a clothing store and after some time decided to become independent and 8 years ago started her own grocery and fabric store. She works Monday through Saturday by herself and is open for business from 8am until 6pm.

Bertalina will use the loan she’s requesting to buy rice, sugar, beans, candy, canned goods, dairy products, detergent, vegetable oil, among other; she will also buy assorted fabric. With this investment in her business she intends to increase sales and improve profits.
