La señora Maura Patricia esta casada, tiene 36 años de edad, no tuvo la oportunidad de estudiar, tiene 5 hijos 3 de los cuales están estudiando, se dedica a la confección de pants y de trajes deportivos, inicio este trabajo siendo operaria en casa de de un vecino y hasta el momento lleva 12 años de experiencia, cuenta con el apoyo de su esposo que trabajo en el mantenimiento de caminos (trabaja para el Estado).

Organiza un grupo para solicitar un préstamo que sera utilizado para la compra de telas de varios colores, y así aumentar su volumen de producción de pants y trajes deportivos para niños; en el futuro espera tener un local de atención al cliente para su producción. Las demás integrantes se dedican a la confección de playeras, y prendas deportivas.

About Asociación ASDIR

ASDIR (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral Rural - Association for the Development of Rural Communities) is a community-based organization that works to promote development in the villages and communities where it serves. It was founded in 1999 in the village of Nimasac, Totonicapán Department, by a handful of local men and women to support community projects and group loans. Today ASDIR has 5 offices across 3 departments (Totonicapán, Sololá and Suchitepéquez) serving more than 6,000 clients, most of them in rural communities.
