Los insumos agrícolas los adquiere en una ciudad que esta a cincuenta kilómetros de su hogar, las compras las realiza en grandes cantidades para ahorrar un poco. Ella aprovecha el viaje que realiza para comprar la mercadería de la tienda, para comprar los insumos.

El préstamo que esta solicitando Rosa, es para comprar semillas, fertilizantes, plaguicidas y mano de obra; para cultivar 14,000 metros cuadrados de maíz. Con la inversión obtendrá una buena producción, debido a que aplicara los insumos a tiempo y en las cantidades correctas, obteniéndolos a un mejor precio. De la producción que obtenga una parte será destinada a la alimentación de su familia y la otra para la venta en su tienda, con el objetivo de obtener más ingresos para bienestar de su familia. Su propósito es ahorrar para continuar cultivando y adquiriendo mercadería para la tienda.
