Charo is 44 years old. He lives in the city of Mombasa in Msambweni District, with his spouse and six beloved children. He’s always been a very kind, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who puts all his efforts into moving his family forward. With much enthusiasm and thanks to support from his family, Charo works day to day in a small phone-charging stall.
Charo is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help he’s received, he will be able to buy a motorcycle to start another business.
That will increase his income and help insure his children’s education and well-being. He dreams of them becoming good professionals and upstanding citizens.
Charo anticipates good income from his motorcycle taxi, since he is always optimistic.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
