Claudia Cordelia
Claudia, 58, is married and has two grown children. She owns a corner shop that she has operated from a space in her house for 20 years and a kiosk that she set up more recently at a local bus terminal. She is a long-standing client of Fundacion and says that they have helped her grow her business. She invested a bit at a time over the years, buying merchandise for her corner shop and eventually saving enough to buy the kiosk. She says that she wants to add new products and earn enough to pay her youngest son's university fees. He's almost finished with school now, so she's very close. She will use this loan to buy merchandise--rice, beans, cooking oil, bread, sugar, snacks, cold drinks, etc.--that she will resell.
