Maria Beatriz
Maria is a young woman of 21. She lives in the city of Nazca, a hot and dry place that is known as the location of the Nazca Lines, which receive many tourists throughout the year, since they are marvelous. Agriculture has developed there, especially the cultivation of beans, lima beans, corn, and prickly pears, among other crops. When Maria has free time, she very much likes to watch television, especially comedy programs. She also likes to enjoy one of her favorite dishes, which is the very delicious "chicken with rice." Because of her limited economic resources, she was only able to go to secondary school, but she would have liked to study business administration.

Every day Maria works in her little business, which is renting a taxi. With the fruit of her little business, she can pay her household expenses and above all raise her little son of 2 years of age, whom she loves very much and to whom she dedicates her life so that she can give him a life with dignity and, above all, much love. She believes that things are going well for her in her business because she is friendly to her customers and above all because she always watches out for the condition of her vehicle.

Maria is very thankful to the Kiva lenders since thanks to the help that they have offered her, she will be able to perform general maintenance on her vehicle and buy tires and shock absorbers, among other items. In this way she will be able to have a vehicle in good condition and give more security to her customers. Thus she will improve her income and will be able to continue striving every day to make her great dream a reality: to be able to build her own house and to give a good education to her son.
