Tumaini is 34 years of age, single, and a mother to four children. She lives in a rental house with her children. She earns a living through the sale of fish.
To increase her working capital, in light of her dual concern to meet customer demand and strengthen her business, Tumaini has sought assistance from Yehu. She has collaborated with the institution for 24 months, and she has asked for a loan to purchase fish and cooking oil.
Tumaini sells on a cash and retail basis to a customer base mainly comprised of women. With this loan, she hopes to make a monthly profit of 10,000 Kenyan shillings (KES), which will help her to meet the household expenses and improve her living standards.
