Justine lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has three children, and all her children go to school. She also takes care of one additional family member. She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her major monthly expenses includes include rent, power and school fees.
Justine operates a beauty salon in a shop. She sells her products on a retail basis. She has been in this business for the last 15 years. She works seven days a week.
She has requested a loan of 800,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT – SACCO to buy braids, weaves, treatments, and oils.
Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goals and aspirations are to own a bridal salon and also to buy a plot of land.
