Kristine is 24 years old. She lives in Baghdati District with her family: her mother, her brother and an uncle. Her brother and uncle have chronic health problems and get the relevant pension from the local government. Kristine and her mother are busy with their agricultural business. In particular, they are busy with livestock; they have two milking cows and a pig. Kristine milks cows twice a day and produces cheese. Part of the cheese is used by the family members and the rest is sold in nearby villages. The family owns a vineyard as well. They take good care of their livestock and they work hard on their agricultural land to get a good harvest but they still don’t have enough income to save money and renovate their house. The total average monthly income of the family is 300 Laris.
Kristine has requested a loan to purchase a milking cow. With three milking cows, she will be able to increase cheese production and sales accordingly. Thus, she wants to expand her business. With the increased income, Kristine will be able to renovate the house which is very old and uncomfortable. As a result of the above-mentioned activities, she will be able to provide better living conditions for family members and they will be able to spend their evenings after their hard-working days in a more comfortable environment.
