La A.C. “PODEROSAS DE CUMARAVI” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Santiago II, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Lourdes es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: planta de zapatos, venta de frutas, tienda carnicería y abarrotes, venta de chompas, tejido de vestidos para bebe, venta de condimentos, pensión de comida.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Lourdes es una integrante, ella indica que hace siete meses que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una asesora de la institución que fue a su casa a invitarla. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de reparación de planta de zapatos; cuenta que este emprendimiento lo aprendió de sus padres y posteriormente lo inicio en compañía de su esposo.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para la mejora de herramientas (compra de máquina de coser) mismo que adquirirá de las empresas distribuidoras y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializa a las galerías a pedido. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar en lo posible a su familia, pues ella es casada y tiene cinco hijos.
Cuando se le consulta que le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta la atención y las capacitaciones en salud y crédito.
