Dibeh is a 46-year-old Lebanese woman. She is married and living with her husband and three children. They are all attending school.
She, together with her husband, manages the family’s own household expenses while operating her business. She has been the owner of a home products shop since 2002. She sells different types of products such as casseroles, glasses, dishes and many other items. Her shop is located in her town where many customers from her community visit her to buy their needed products at fair prices. Dibeh keeps on working very hard in order to maintain her family’s financial status at a good level.
Today, she is requesting to borrow a loan from Kiva Partner Ameen s.a.l. to expand her inventory of home products. She earns a barely fair income and she confirms that the loan will help her boost her her income by 15%.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
