Teopista lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with five children and all her children go to school. She also takes care of two additional family members. She sells cereals like beans, maize, and ground nuts at the market. She sells her products on a wholesale and retail basis. She has been in business for the last seven years. She works six days a week. She has requested for a 1,200,000 UGX loan from MCDT – SACCO to buy bags of beans, maize and ground nuts. Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goals and aspirations are to own a delivery van to ease in transportation and to buy a plot of land to build rental houses. She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity and does not have access to piped water. Her major expenses include paying for utility bills and school fees.
