Ilgar, age 43, and his wife Sabina run an agricultural business to earn a living. They have two milk cows and produce cheese, part of which is used by the family; the rest is sold on the local open market. Ilgar lives in a small village in Gardabani District with his wife, their 19-year-old son, and his mother, who is a pensioner. His son is unemployed. The total average monthly income of the family is 700 Laris.
Ilgar has requested a loan in order to purchase calves, which he will raise and eventually sell at a profit. He will reinvest his additional earnings back into his agricultural enterprise in order to expand it and to make it more profitable, thereby improving the family's living conditions.
