Joyrin, aged 23, is a married entrepreneur with one child from Mitugas, Tudela, who earns his income from his motorcycle transport business. He started his business four years ago and he earns 6,000 PHP a month.
To improve his business, Joyrin is borrowing 10,000 PHP from GDMPC microcredit, which he recently joined, to buy accessories and tires. Before long, he’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding his business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
