Onditi is 41 years old. She is married and resides with her five children in Coast Province, Kenya. She has been selling foodstuffs such as fried potatoes, dumplings, etc. at the market. She also sells fish and juice. She has been in this business for more than five years, earning approximately Ksh 500 daily. Her husband is a businessman. All of her children are in school. Onditi is requesting a loan of Ksh 40,000 to purchase sacks of potatoes, cooking oil, and more fish to sell. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn their bachelor’s degrees.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
