Ramela is 47 years old and married, with two children. She resides at Gata Daku, Clarin.
Ramela owns and operates a farm, planting and harvesting rice for sale to earn a living. She's been five years in this business. Each month, she earns PHP 7,000 doing this work.
She requested a loan of PHP 8,000 to purchase fertilizers, such as manure. Ramela joined GDMPC this year.
In the future, Ramela wants to make improvements to her house and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
