Kusumalata is a 41-year-old widow, living with her widowed younger sister and her two nieces. She earns her livelihood by doing tailoring work, taking orders from customers and stitching dresses for them. She lives in her sister's house and does not want to be a burden on her, so she started this tailoring work to support her sister financially.
At present she has two sewing machines which are not sufficient to meet customer demand. She plans to purchase five new sewing machines and start a tailoring workshop where she will train others, thus having more staff to help meet the increasing customer demand. She has requested a loan of 35,000 Indian Rupees (INR) for purchasing new sewing machines and fabric.
She has a dream to enable her nieces to study in a good school and give them all the facilities they need.
