Charif is a 61-year-old Lebanese man living with his wife and two young children, who are still attending school. He has been an author since 1982, writing poetry and verses. He is a clever, inspired, and creative man, inventing books that are out of the ordinary and very interesting to read.
Charif is planning to publish a new book, but the printing process very expensive, and Charif cannot afford these expenses at this stage. Therefore, he is asking to borrow from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. in order to print his book and distribute it in the market. He states that the loan will positively impact his career, and he is confident that his sales revenues will be elevated.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
