Mrs. Phalla S. and her husband married in 1979. They have three children; one son and two daughters. Her son is in school and her daughters are weaving silk at home. The family lives on an Island on Mekong River about twelve kilometers from Phnom Penh.


Mrs. Phalla has been in the business of selling grocery items for four years. She bought them from market in Phnom Penh for resale at her shop in front of her house. Her husband has been a motor taxi driver for eight years.


Mrs. Phalla is requesting a loan in the amount of $500 to purchase grocery items for resale and for buying silk materials for her daughters' weaving.
