Betty lives in Kaloleni and at 43 years old, she sells groceries in her vegetable stall. She is a married mother of six children. She began this business last year, after getting a working capital from her husband. Currently her children help her in the business on the weekends and when there are important games.
She offers a variety of vegetables and fruits. With this loan she will buy tomatoes, onions, cabbages, etc. She hopes to progress more in the future to bring her children all of the help that they need.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
