Jeton is thirty-three years old and married. He has two children, ages two and four years old. They all live in a village not far from a major city. Many families here have taken micro-loans from KosInvest to start up businesses or improve their living conditions, Jeton being one of them.
Jeton has been working in the livestock business for a long time. He has a cow and he provides milk and milk products for his family and in this way he reduces their living costs. Every time he has tried to put some money aside to buy another cow, something else has always come up that was urgent. He needs a loan to buy another milk cow and to build a new stable in hopes of increasing the dairy production and of course, the earnings from selling dairy products to the locals.
During the autumn and winter time, Jeton also sells coal for heating in his community in order to increase family’s income.
He says that he plans to invest more in the livestock business and to increase the number of cows he keeps. In this way he will improve the welfare of his children. Knowing that this is a Kiva loan, he is grateful to all KIVA lenders.
