Mariamu is 42 years old and has four girls and two boys. She sells coconuts at the market. Her sales stand is located at a strategic point. This is her first loan with Yehu.
Mariamu is going to use the loan to purchase coconuts for sale. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. She is requesting this loan because she does not have enough working capital. She is going to use the proceeds as working capital. She wishes to improve her quality of life and that of her entire family.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
