Gerson Obed
Gerson Obed is 30 years old. He is single and has no children. His business is in the sale of shoes--a job that he began six years ago. Currently the problems and challenges that he has faced are due to his mother's health, who is now sick. His business is located in his neighborhood market. He began the business with the help of a relative who has experience in this work.

He did this because of his need to have a means of making his own money to survive and to get ahead. He does this thanks to the support that Leon 2000 and Kiva's financing has brought him and other small merchants. He wants to invest this loan in the purchase of tennis and athletic shoes, sandals and men's dress shoes, among other styles.
