Luisa is 54 years old and divorced, but she has three children. Currently, she lives in the beautiful province of Cusco in the department of Cusco. Luisa’s business offers tourist services. She has worked at this business for some years already and it’s going very well for her. Luisa has a small travel agency in partnership with her children. At this time, Luisa needs a loan to buy tourist tickets. Her dream is to open a hardware store. (Luisa is lifting her hand in the photo).

This group is composed of neighbors and friends who formed the communal bank Caminemos al Futuro II (Let’s Walk to the Future II) in the province of Cusco in the department of Cusco. This communal bank is made up of people who, at every moment, are looking for opportunities to get ahead, and with their daily strength, to give a better future to their children. The members’ business activities are, for example, hardware store and travel agency; others work selling chocolate, food and shoes, and some provide Internet services.

The members in general are grateful for the opportunity they have been afforded, and they are dedicated to paying off their different loan installments within the time period. (The person in the lower part of the photo arrived late to the communal bank meeting).

Cusco is located in the district and province of Cusco in the department of Cusco, in the heart of the old Inca city. It is known for its tourist area, its archeological center, historical center, its scenery, and for being an enchanting city in the country’s Southern Region. Cusco is also known for its traditional festival of Inti Raymi and for having one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu.

La socia Luisa tiene 54 años y es divorciada pero tiene tres hijos. Actualmente, ella vive en la hermosa provincia de Cusco del departamento del Cusco. Su actividad económica principal de socia Luisa es la brindar servicios turísticos. Ya son varios años que se dedica a este negocio y le va muy bien. La socia Luisa tiene una pequeña agencia de viajes en sociedad con sus hijos En esta oportunidad Luisa requiere el préstamo para comprar boletos turísticos. Este grupo está conformado por vecinos y amigos que formaron el banco comunal “Caminemos al Futuro II” en la provincia de Cusco del departamento del Cusco. Este banco comunal está conformado por personas que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Las actividades económicas de los socios son por ejemplo; ferretería y agencia de viajes y otros se dedican a la venta de chocolates y comida, venta de zapatos y algunos brindan servicio de internet.

Los socios en general agradecen la oportunidad brindada y se comprometen a cumplir con el pago de sus diferentes cuotas en los plazos establecidos. (La persona que aparece en la parte inferior de la fotografía llego tarde a la reunión del banco comunal).

Cusco está ubicado en el distrito y provincia del Cusco del departamento del Cusco en pleno corazón de la antigua ciudad de los Incas y se caracteriza por ser una zona turística, por sus centros arqueológicos, por su centro histórico, por sus paisajes, por su historia y por ser una ciudad encantadora de la Región del Sur del país. Cusco es conocido también por su fiesta tradicional del Inti Raymi y porque se encuentra una de las siete maravillas del mundo “Machupicchu”.

About Asociación Arariwa
Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru.
