“Señor de Exaltacion II” Community Bank will start its third cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Achacachi Community Center. It is composed of ten members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Maritza. The members engage in different economic activities, such as selling vegetable, selling fruits, selling soft drinks, selling hats, selling custard-apples and selling ice-creams.

Maritza is one of the micro entrepreneurs forming this group, and she will benefit from the requested loan. Maritza says she has been a member of Pro Mujer for three years, and that she has been invited to enter by one of the promoters of this institution who went to her house to invite her. She currently sells jewels, an activity she stared a few years ago out of her own initiative.

The loan she is currently requesting will be used to increase her working capital by buying jewels. She will buy them from supplying companies in La Paz to the sell them in her community. She is single, and this type of activity allows her to support her parents as much as she can and support herself economically, since she is single.

When asked about it, she says that the seminars on health and the loans are what she likes the most of Pro Mujer.

La A.C. “SEÑOR DE EXALTACIÓN II” iniciará el tercer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Achacachi, está compuesta por diez integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Maritza es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: venta de verduras, venta de frutas, venta de refrescos, venta de gorros, venta de chirimoyas, venta de helados.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Maritza es una integrante, ella indica que desde hace tres años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a su casa a invitarla. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de joyas, mismo que emprendió por iniciativa propio desde hace tiempo atrás, aprendiendo este de amigas que trabajaban en este negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para incremento de capital (compra de joyas) mismo que comprará de las empresas distribuidoras de La Paz y posteriormente lo comercializará en su comunidad. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a sus padres y mantenerse económicamente ella ya que es soltera.

Cuando se le consulta que le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones en salud y crédito.
