A loan of $250 helped to buy gas stoves for resale in the surrounding area.

Soursag-Yir Parfait's story

Soursag-Yir Parfait runs a store selling miscellaneous articles and a refreshment area in the market in Koper, a town located in the province of Ioba in Burkina Faso. He has had this business for about 20 years, since he was 22 years of age.

Faced with financial difficulties, Soursag-Yir Parfait has used this loan to buy five gas stoves, which he will resell in his area to improve the population's access to energy products. The loan will allow him to improve his income so that he can provide for his family and, most importantly, so that his children can go to school, as he is a married father of three children. He also hopes to become a leader for the environmental protection cause in his town.
