Ken is 42 years old. He is married and resides with four children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. He has been working as a construction worker for more than ten years, earning approximately $4 per day. His wife makes brooms to sell and earns about $2 daily. Two of her children are garment workers who earn about $5 each day.
Due to the difficulty in his family’s transportation, Ken is requesting a loan of $800 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable him to use the money saved on his transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, he would like to breed pigs to earn more income to support the family and help his children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, he hopes to build fence around his house.
