Phally is 48 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling peanuts and potatoes for more than two years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $3 daily. Two of her children are employed. They are a garment worker and a construction worker. They earn about $6 each day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Phally is requesting a loan of $1400 to purchase repair tools for her son to run a business repairing motorcycle. By doing so, her son would earn more income to financially support the family. In the future, she would like to run a business breeding pigs and help her children earn higher education. In addition, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
