Fatuma is 52 years old and she lives with her life partner and six children in her own house. She sells fish from her home. She has been in this line of business for ten years and it has given her good results.
Fatuma's business is located in a strategic place and she has many customers, as everybody prefers her because her fish is the best. She sells the fish at good prices and, above all, she provides the best service. Nzara is a resourceful woman with a great desire to progress in life. She wants to reach success and she will fight hard to achieve it, even as she aims to open a a retail shop in future.
Recently there has been an increase in her customer's requests and she needs to invest but she does not have enough money. She is requesting a loan of KES 40,000 to buy more stock of fish and cooking oil. Nzara is very responsible and she has good credit references. She is sure she will repay her loan and that she will provide her family with a better standard of living.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
