Reymunda is a widow with three children. She is 63 years old and lives in the Philippines.
Reymunda is a farmer and she sells firewood which comes from coconut tress. She has been doing this for 15 years and every month she earns PHP 4,000 from this work. She has requested a loan of PHP 10,000 to pay for coconut farm maintenance.
Reymunda has been a member of GDMPC since 2011. In the future, she hopes to help her children finish their studies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
