Jerry Del, 32 years old, is a married entrepreneur of Poblacion 4, Clarin. He earns a living from his transport service business. He has had the business for almost a year now and he earn 8,000 a month. To improve the business, he is borrowing 15,000 PHP from GDMPC micro credit, which he just joined recently, to obtain accessories and tires. Before long, he is hopeful of the possibility of expanding his business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
