Yusuf
Yusuf is 36 years old and lives in the town of Kyengera in the Kampala West region of Uganda. He is married and has two children who are both currently in school. For the past three years, Yusuf has been working hard to manage his food sales business, where he sells matoke and beans.

To help expand his business, Yusuf has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to expand his business by buying more matoke and beans, and will help Yusuf to generate greater profits. Yusuf hopes that in the future he will be able to expand his business to neighboring areas.

Yusuf is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Yusuf who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
