The assocation called "Peregrinas" (Pilgrims) works with Pro-Mujer with a lot of organization and responsibility. Almost all of them say that the were born with little ability with their hands, but with a lot of imagination and optimism, one of their main activities has become the sale of "chatarritas", a term that is given to various articles that are sold depending on the season (cables, baterries, scissors, flashlights, disinfectants, cords, jewellery, combs, etc.). They offer these to the public mainly by working as street vendors all day They take their young children with them because they don't have anyone with whom to leave them. They need a larger credit to buy carts that they can carry their products in through the city's streets and also to buy other items that will offer them larger profits. In this way, they can obtain daily income for their children and give them, at the very least, good nutrition.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
