Nancy Maria
Nancy lives in Nazca, a city noted for its warm and inviting climate, as well as for being a city where archeological sites can be found. In past centuries, the pre-Inca Nazca culture developed there. For this reason, we have one of the most visited tourist attractions, the "Nazca Lines," which are are visited by great numbers of tourists, especially because they are extensive geoglyphs, located in the middle of an extensive arid plain, that served as a kind of calendar for that culture.

Nancy is the mother of two daughters, ages 16 and 18. She and her husband work very hard to raise them. Nancy likes to look after her small plants in her free time, and really likes to eat one of her favorite dishes, the very delicious "fejol con seco" (spicy Peruvian dish made with meat and beans).

Nancy works day after day in her small food store, mainly selling fried chicken. She works around eight hours daily, and can serve up to 15 customers a day. She believes her business is going well because of the tasty way she prepares her dishes, and because she serves her customers in a friendly way and with much love.

Nancy is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, as thanks to the help they have offered her, she will be able to buy tables and chairs for her business. With this improvement she will be able to serve her customers more comfortably, and above all, improve her income. In this way, she will continue working and striving each day to be able to make her greatest dream a reality: To provide her children with a good education and to have a restaurant.
