When he has free time he likes to play soccer with his friends in the neighborhood. However, most of the time he likes to spend time with his family. He has two little ones, ages five and two. He adores and loves them a lot. He wishes for them to be better than he is. Most of all he wants to give them a decent life.
Due to his small amount of financial resources, he only went to high school. However, he would have liked to have had a university education.
Jose works day to day as a “mototaxi” [three wheeled motorized vehicle] driver. With the fruit of his work he is able to pay the household expenses. He works around 10 hours a day, and he can provide service for up to 40 customers daily. He believes that it is going well for him in his business because he is nice to his customers. Mostly it is because he always works with good cheer.
Jose is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help they have given him he will be able to make improvements to his home. He will reinforce the roof because it is made of mats and reeds. He will buy roofing sheets in order to be able to cover it. With that he will have a better quality of life. He will be able to continue working in order to make his biggest dream come true: “To have a house made of solid material and to give his children a good education.”
Día a día Jose trabaja como chofer de mototaxi, ya que con el fruto de esta trabajo el puede solventar los gastos de su hogar, él le dedica a su labor alrededor de 10 horas al día y puede atender hasta 40 clientes diariamente; él cree que le va bien en su negocio porque es muy amable con los clientes y sobre todo porque siempre trabaja con mucho ánimo.
Jose está muy agradecido con los prestatar5ios Kiva ay que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado el podrá realizar mejoras en su vivienda, como reforzamiento de techo ya que este es de esteras y caña y comprara planchas de eternit para poder cubrirlo; con ello tendrá una mejor calidad de vida y podrá seguir trabajando para poder hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Tener una casa de material noble y darle una buena educación a sus hijos”.
