The Danaya Group consists of married women with an average age of 38 and four children. They live in traditional families in Massablacoura, one of the neighborhoods in the city of Bougouni (the third largest administrative region of Mali). In order to meet the needs of their customers, they are on their second collaboration with Soro Yiriwaso, a microfinance organization. This group of women sells used clothing, condiments, cereal, clothing, and shoes. Setou, seated in the photo, is in the business of used clothing and plans to use her loan to buy 2 bundles of used clothes. She stocks up in Bamako and resells from home and at the market to a clientele of women and men, for cash and credit. She expects to earn an average monthly profit of 35,000 FCFA, part of which will be used to help her husband with the daily expenses. The other part will be invested in the business.

Le groupe DANAYA est constitué de femmes mariées ayant en moyenne 38 ans, 4 enfants et vivant dans des familles traditionnelles à MASSABLACOURA, un des quartiers de la ville de Bougouni (3ème région administrative du Mali).
Elles sont à leur deuxième collaboration avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin de leur clientèle. Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce de friperie avec SETOU, de la vente de condiments ,de céréales, des habits et des chaussures.
SETOU, en position assise sur la photo, compte acheter avec son prêt, 2 ballons de friperie. Elle s’approvisionne à Bamako. Elle effectue sa vente à domicile et au marché à une clientèle composée de femmes et d’hommes, en détail, au comptant et à crédit.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 35.000.FCFA par mois dont une partie sera utilisée pour l’appui de son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes et l’autre partie sera investie dans les activités.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
