Chantha is 48 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
She has been selling groceries and all kinds of drinks for more than five years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband sells boats. He earns about $6 a day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Chantha is requesting a loan of $1,500 to increase capital in her husband's business so that he can purchase more boats to resell. This money will help him generate more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to build a new house and help her children earn bachelors degrees.
