The ten members of the Benkadi 1 group are married women with an average age of 50 and an average of four children each. They live in polygamous families in Bablena, a village in the Kilidougou commune, Dioïla prefecture, Koulikoro region (2nd administrative region of Mali). They are working with the microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso with the goal of better organizing their activities for the beginning of the rainy season. They cultivate millet, peanuts, and beans. They are on their sixth collaboration with the organization.

With this new loan, Salimata Souleymane, standing second from right, plans to buy fertilizers and small tools and to pay for labor costs to maintain approximately 0.75 hectares of millet and peanuts. After harvest the crops are sold in the town of Dioïla to a customer base of both men and women. She expects to make an average profit of about 110,000 CFA per growing season.
Les dix membres du groupe BENKADI 1 sont des femmes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 50 ans et ont en moyenne 4 enfants. Elles vivent dans des familles polygames à Bablena, un des villages de la commune de Kilidougou, préfecture de Dioïla, région de Koulikoro, (2ème région administrative du mali).
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso dans le but de pouvoir mieux organiser leurs activités en début d’hivernage. Les spéculations cultivées sont le mil, l’arachide et le haricot. Elles sont à leur sixième collaboration avec l’institution.
Avec ce nouveau prêt, SALIMATA SOULEYMANE, deuxième personne à partir de la droite dans le rang des debouts, compte acheter les intrants, les petits équipements et payer les frais de labour pour entretenir environs 0,75 hectare de mil et d’arachide.
Les productions sont vendues au niveau de la ville de Dioïla, après les récoltes à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes. Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 110.000F CFA environs par campagne.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients.
