Linda is 18 years old and married. She has no children. She would like to start a small business, elei printing (on fabrics). In order to do this, Linda needs a loan to help her purchase paint, brushes and materials. She hopes to use her profits to develop and increase her little business. She has been a member of SPBD since this year.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
