Amal is a 49-year-old woman. She is married and a mother to four sons. Her husband is employed, but gets a low salary, which is not enough to cover the family's needs.
For the past 2 years, Amal has had a grocery store. The store has been a profitable project, but needs more support to cover its costs.
Amal is requesting a loan of 2,000 US dollars (USD) from FATEN to help the cover the costs of purchasing needed stock of basic groceries that customers often request, such as rice, sugar, and milk. She will also use part of the loan to purchase a new refrigerator, which she will use for preserving food at her store. This will allow her to expand the scope of her work, improve her business, and increase the family's income.
