Good afternoon, everyone. Here's a brotherly greeting from all Peruvians. At this time I would like to talk to you about Las Progresistas group, made up of 8 members who have gotten to know each during their first work cycle and are working for the benefits that Edaprospo offers them. One of the members of this supportive group is Sara, a university student. She sells juices to be able to cover her education expenses since the university that she attends is private and she has to make monthly payments for her classes. Her dream is to be a good and well-known professional. That is why she decided to start a business that so far has been going well.
She is requesting a loan to buy a blender because, the only one that she has is shared with her sister who sells food in their same rented stand.
Sara is very appreciative for the financing from Kiva lenders since this way she can achieve her goals. She is the second from the right in the photo, with a brown polo shirt. *In the upper part of the photo there is a picture of Mcklein.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
