Rama is 38 years old. He is married and has one child who is the reason for his hard work. Rama has made a living selling agricultural products for the past two years. He began this work when he was single, and after marrying and setting up his own home, he continued in the industry. He sells his products at the market to his neighbours and passersby. He has a well-established base of customers that always buy products from him because of their good quality.
Rama is asking for a loan to purchase cassava and coconuts for his daily sales, and he will also be purchasing fruits and vegetables to offer to his customers.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
