Umazi is a 44-year-old married woman who has seven children, five of whom are in school. She has 3 years of experience in poultry breeding. Her son helps her to breed poultry. She mostly keeps local chickens which are popular throughout the year. Demand for fresh poultry meat has risen and therefore she is requesting a loan amounting to Ksh 20,000 to purchase chicks and chicken feed.
Umazi would like to expand her business and purchase more poultry. This will be her first loan with Yehu and she hopes to repay her loan on time so that she can apply for another in order to achieve this goal.
