Len is 59 years old and married with four children – three single children and one married child. She works hard in the rice field to satisfy their living needs and provide education to her children. She particularly grows rice on around two-hectares of farmland, located in Ornlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey province. Len has full support from her helpful husband in the business so they are able to ensure healthy crops and earn a good income each cropping season.
In this coming rainfall Len, and other farmers, are very busy with their farm work. In order to manage the process and make her business more productive, Len decided to borrow some funds in the sums of USD 1,000 to purchase farm supplies such as chemical fertilizers, pesticides and spare parts to maintain her plowing machine. This loan will enable Len to better her yields and income in the following harvesting season. Through her hard work and perseverance, she hopes to work her way up to be a successful entrepreneur and pursue a quality lifestyle.
