Nancy
Nancy is married and has three children; two of them are independent. They live in a rented house, and they occupy two rooms. The house in in the Tembladerani area of the city of La Paz.

Nancy works as a public accountant in a private company for over eight hours. She does this because she needs to cover her family’s food and education expenses. She also has income from her husband’s retirement.

Nancy is requesting the loan to pay university expenses for her third child. He does not work yet, and the little that they earn is not enough to be able to pay for her son’s education.

Nancy’s dream is for her son to be a professional. She also dreams of having her own house in order to make her family safer and more comfortable. This way their income will improve.

This is the fifth time she has requested a loan from IMPRO and the first time with Kiva.

Nancy, esta casada y tiene tres hijos de los cuales dos ya son independientes, viven en una casa alquilada ocupando dos habitaciones, la casa esta ubicada en la zona Tembladerani de la ciudad de La Paz.
Nancy trabaja como contador público en una empresa privada por más de ocho horas ya que debe cubrir los gastos de alimentación y educación de su familia; también cuenta con los ingresos de la jubilación de su esposo.
Nancy solicita el crédito para pagar la universidad de su tercer hijo ya que él aun no trabaja y con lo poco que ellos ganan no les alcanza para poder pagar los estudios de su hijo.
El sueño de Nancy es que su hijo sea profesional y también tener casa propia para darle más seguridad y comodidad a su familia de esta forma mejorar sus ingresos.
Es la quinta vez que solicita crédito junto a IMPRO y la primera vez junto a KIVA.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
