Mzia is 52 years old. She lives in a small village of Samtredia District with her family: her husband,Grigol, her 29-year-old son, her daughter-in-law and her granddaughter. Grigol works at a railway station and gets a monthly salary. Mzia and her son are busy with agricultural activities. They have 4 milking cows and a calf. They produce cheese, part of which is used by the family members and the rest which is sold locally. They also have a plot of land, where nuts are grown. They sell approximately 100 kg of nuts seasonally.
Mzia’s son wants to become a goldsmith. With the requested credit they will purchase a golden gauge and other necessary tools to start learning the new business. Mzia thinks that her son will be a good goldsmith and he will have many orders. This will increase the income of the family. With the increased income they will be able to create better living conditions for the family members.
