Robinson is a father of two children and is married. His family stays with family in their rural hometown. He carries on all of his farming in the area of Litein, South Rift, Kenya. He trades in timber to supplement his farming income.
Robinson has requested a loan of 40,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy a water tank. He says the water tank will be used to reserve water for his dairy cows whose number is growing fast. He adds it will also help him establish a horticultural farming business.
Robinson adds that his focus is to repay the loan and acquire more income.
To facilitate a partnership between Kiva and Juhudi Kilimo, K-Rep Group (Juhudi Kilimo’s 100% owner) has guaranteed Kiva funds in the event of institutional default. Lenders should be aware that the risk of borrower default remains borne by the lender.
