Denise Dossignon is 49 years old and she lives in Benin. She never went to school. She is married to a man named Blaise, and they have two dependent children in their care. The children are not their own, and they do not attend school. Denise Dossignon lives with her husband and their children, and the couple handle the various household responsibilities together.

Denise Dossignon has been selling plates and footwear for five years through the distribution system. As a secondary activity, she also sells bissap juice (hibiscus). She buys her merchandise locally and in city of Benin.

To achieve customer satisfaction, and to increase her sales and revenue, Denise Dossignon is seeking a first loan from ALIDé together with the other members of the group WANGNINAN 20. This credit will help them to bolster their activities and their profits.
Le groupe WANGNINAN 20 est composé de trois personnes qui sont des amies et dont deux appartiennent à une même famille. C'est la première fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Denise Dossignon est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Denise Dossignon est âgée de 49 ans et vit au Bénin. Denise Dossignon n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Denise Dossignon est mariée à un certain Blaise. Le couple n’a que deux enfants à leur charge dont aucun scolarisé et aucun n’est leur propre enfant. Denise Dossignon vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants et assure ensemble avec son mari les charges de la maison. Afin d’assurer les diverses charges de la famille, Denise Dossignon vend depuis cinq ans, des assiettes et des chaussures par le système de distribution. Parallèlement à cette activité, Denise Dossignon vend des jus de bissapes. Denise Dossignon s’approvisionne dans sa région et dans une ville du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Denise Dossignon sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe WANGNINAN 20, un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce prêt leur permettra certainement à hausser le niveau de leurs activités et à se faire plus de profits.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
