The “Mira” communal bank has 7 members who live in Zhidmad Parish but meet in the Fundación’s offices. Zhidmad Parish is located in Azuay Province, Gualaceo Canton and is located 22 kilometers from the city of Cuenca and is composed of 8 communities. Its residents raise animals, work in agriculture and in commerce. Many work daily at various jobs in the city. The members are nice, kind people who work daily striving to improve their economic stability and move their families forward. Their greatest source of pride is that they still maintain the culture and tradition of their ancestors.

One of this group’s members is Rosa Aurelia, 37. She’s married and has four children who are 18, 14, 12 and 8 years of age. Her oldest son works and helps her economically. Two of her daughters attend secondary school and her youngest daughter attends the local elementary school. Her husband works as a day laborer and she owns the house she lives in.

Rosa Aurelia works in the fields; she raises cattle, horses, pigs and guinea pigs that she sells whenever she has economic need. She also works in agriculture and what she produces is for home consumption. This work allows her to stay home and not neglect her home.

She will use her loan money to buy manure and animal feed. Her goal is to make some home improvements.

El banco comunal Mira está formado por 7 socias quienes viven por la parroquia de Zhidmad, pero se reunión en las oficinas de la fundación, la parroquia de Zhidmad está ubicada en la provincia del Azuay cantón Gualaceo, se encuentra ubicada a (22 km) de la ciudad de Cuenca y está conformada por 8 comunidades, su gente se dedica a la cría de animales, agricultura y comercio, muchos laboran diariamente en la ciudad ejerciendo diferentes actividades. Nuestras socias son mujeres amable, gentiles, trabajadoras quienes diariamente luchan para mejorar su estabilidad económica y asi sacar adelante a sus familias, su mayor orgullo es aun conservar su cultura y tradiciones de sus padres.

Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora. Rosa Aurelia, tiene 37 años, es casada y en su unión conyugal ha concebido 4 hijos de 18, 14, 12 y 8 años de edad, su primer hijo trabaja y ayuda económicamente, dos de sus hijas estudian en el colegio y su ultima hija estudia en una escuelita de la localidad, su esposo labora como jornalero, la casa en la que vive es de su propiedad.

La Señora. Rosa Aurelia se dedica a las actividades del campo, cría ganado, caballos, cerdos, cuyes a los mismos que los venden cuando tiene alguna necesidad económica. También labora en la agricultura y lo que produce es para el consumo de su hogar, este trabajo le permite pasar en casa sin descuidar su hogar.

El dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de abono y alimento para sus animales.

Su meta es mejorar su casa.
