The group ENAGNON 3 is made up of three members who live in the same neighborhood and belong to the same savings' group.

Moudjibou (raising his hand in the photo), is the group's representative. He is 53 years old and never went to school. He is married to a seller named Raïmi. Moudjibou and Raïmi have three children, two of whom are their own children. All three children are their dependents. The couple live with their children and jointly ensure that the family needs are met.

Moudjibou has learned sewing, an activity he has been involved in for the past nineteen years, and which brings him a rather good income. In addition to this main activity, he also sells sewing threads and fabrics.

He buys his supplies in a town in Benin and in his region, and has an increasing number of customers.

In order to raise the level of his activity and to meet his customers' demand and his family's various needs, Moudjibou is requesting financial assistance from ALIDé for the first time, together with the other members of the ENAGNON 3 group. This loan will certainly help them to boost the level of their activity and to make more profits.

ENAGNON 3 est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres vivent dans le même quartier et appartiennent à un même groupe de tontine. Le représentant du groupe, Moudjibou (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 53 ans et n’a jamais fréquenté l’école. Moudjibou est marié à une marchande du nom de Raïmi. Le couple a trois enfants dont deux sont leurs propres enfants et tous à leur charge. Le couple vit ensemble avec les enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les divers besoins de la famille. Moudjibou a appris la couture, activité qu’elle exerce depuis dix neuf ans et qui lui procure des revenus non négligeables. Parallèlement à cette activité principale, Moudjibou vend des fils de couture et des tissus. Moudjibou s’approvisiionne dans une ville du Bénin et dans sa région. La clientèle de Moudjibou s’agrandit de plus en plus. Afin d’élever le niveau de son activité et de mieux satisfaire les exigences de sa clientèle ainsi d’assurer les multiples besoins de sa famille, Moudjibou sollicite pour une première fois, ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe ENAGNON 3, l’appui financier de ALIDé. Ce crédit leur permettra surement à rehausser le niveau de leur activité et à se faire plus de profits.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
